Although the vacuum of my childhood is now gone I am finding that many people still have this machine in working order. The Electrolux Silverado Vacuum was Electrolux's flagship model from 1982-1984 and for many is the vacuum of the past and present. The all metal canister was buit to last. The stylish silver-grey with light grey trimmings was an easy sale for door to door salesmen of the day.
