Winter can seem very long. Days are shorter, night’s colder. If your New Year Resolution was to clean the house, now is the time to create a strategy. Vacuum, clean windowsills, and wash the windows. Let the light in; take down the heavy drapes. Keep the shades up during the day. Keep your space well lit by using high efficiency LED bulbs to save on your electric bill.
Get rid of the clutter. There are recycling and reuse centers to take unwanted items. Donate extra clothing to charity this will help your wardrobe from being crammed with clothes you will never wear. Just work on a little at a time. Place an air freshener in closets to prevent bad odors.
To avoid cleaning twice, dust the ceiling fan and clean the windows before vacuuming in case dust and dirt fall on the floor. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove built up dirt from your boots and shoes.
Your upholstery may need to be cleaned. Take off the cushions and use your vacuum cleaner to clean up dust and dirt. Use your brush attachment for this chore. You may buy a new colorful throw and decorative pillows to brighten up the living space.
After winter wear and accumulating months of dust and dirt, your carpets will need to be cleaned and refreshed. Frequent vacuuming can prolong the life of your carpets. When you have a spill on your carpet, clean it immediately. You will need a specially formulated detergent to remove the toughest stains and dirt. Before using the shampooer, vacuum the carpet thoroughly. Pretreat the stains before shampooing. Make sure the room is well ventilated. Do not walk on the carpets until completely dry.
When vacuuming use Vac-Yum to enjoy a refreshing scent while you clean. They are available in many scents such as Blackberry Sage ,Cinnamon Roll, Country Orange, Gardenia Flowers, Northern Pine to name a few.
Now just sit back and relax and wail for spring.
