Oreck Backpack Vacuum Cleaner

by Bob 1. May 2010 08:41

Oreck is among the first names in vacuum manufacturers, with decades of experience and respect. For commercial buyers of vacuum cleaners the Oreck XL Pro 6 Backpack Vacuum Cleaner offers your business all the value of the Oreck name in a format that works for your needs. Among the most comfortable backpack vacuum models to use, it never sacrifices power, and its maneuverability makes it one of the top choices for commercial cleaning concerns everywhere.

Three features really set this model apart. First, the XL Pro 6 is one of the lightest cleaners available anywhere—it weighs a mere ten pounds. Also, the Oreck XL Pro 6 comes with a belt worn around the user's waist. In addition to adding additional support to the user's back (helping to prevent injury), the interchangeable tools used with the cleaner can be stored right there—no more losing attachments or picking them up as they fall off the machine. Finally, with both a fifty foot cord on the machine and a fifty foot extension cord included in your purchase, the Oreck XL Pro 6 Backpack Vacuum Cleaner can go just about anywhere you need it to go.

And all over the world the Oreck XL Pro 6 has found spots to clean. Commercial janitorial and cleaning companies have been, of course, the most popular customers for these exceptional machines, but other businesses have found them useful as well. Large restaurants, movie theaters and other entertainment concerns, hotels and other lodging companies and large corporations with carpeted headquarters have found that this model works for their needs.

Venting a Central Vacuum System Outdoors

by Bob 24. April 2010 11:21

We recommend that you vent your central vacuum outdoors.  To do so, run pvc pipe from the vacuum exhaust to the exterior of the house, and add a exhaust vent to the outside of the house.  Venting to the outside is more effective than having a HEPA filter on your vacuum.  A HEPA filter is 99.97% efective, where a central vacuum vented outside is 100% efective, all the particles that come throught the exhaust go directly outdoors rather than indoors.

Now remove the 3 bolts on the motor, and disconnect the motor leads.  After this is done you will now be able to take out the motor. Also, remove the coupling on the horn of the old motor and place on the new motor.

Clean the screen below the motor if necessary.

When putting in the new central vacuum motor make sure there is a gasket between the motor and the canister create a tight seal, then tighten the bolts and reconnect the motor leads.
